Posted by: admin  /  Category: Computers, Laptops, Notebooks

Just recently, Samsung has decided to make their N130 netbook available to the public market and so far, it has shown a lot of promising possibilities. One main feature that made this really different from all the other netbooks is its internal battery that can run in an estimated 11 hours, which is really remarkable for a netbook. Each of one of this unit will contain Intel Atom N270 processor and it will have a 10.1 inch screen, a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, Wi-Fi compatibility, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam, which is of course, perfect for those people that love or really in need of online video communications at all times, memory card readers, and a hard drive that has the capacity to hold up to 160GB. This should also include a GMA 950 video card and 1 GB of RAM, not to mention 3 USB ports and a VGA output.

New Air Powered Microprocessor

There is a new right now about a certain microprocessor that runs in thin air. In the article, it said that “there’s no shortage of ways to perform calculations without a standard electronic computer. But the latest in a long line of weird computers runs calculations on nothing more than air.” This new microprocessor is running mainly on valve computer and every pneumatic valve is functioned by varying the air pressure in a small chamber under the air channel, divided from the circuit by a flexible resistant covering. When the lower chamber is filled with air, the coverings push upwards and close the valve, stopping the binary signal flowing across one of the processor’s junctions. It was also said that this microprocessor that mainly runs on air has the potential to improve lab-on-a-chip devices that would definitely improve disease testing, DNA outlining, and any other things that is connected to lab work.

Desktops and Laptops

Which is better between a personal computer desktop and a laptop is always debatable because of a lot of factors. One main thing why people choose laptop is because of its mobility. You can practically bring it anywhere you want and use it anytime you please, while with desktop computers, people want it more because it comes cheaper and safer since nobody would actually try to snatch it from you or even mug you since you don’t carry it. Most people planning to get a computer have this dilemma and would always consult friends for opinions. It is really simple actually… buy the one that would suffice your need and not what you want. If your work or studies require you to always be in front of a computer, laptop should be the way to go, but if you’re buying a computer because you just want to have something to use, it would be better to just go with desktops… it would probably even save you more money.
